About Ralph Chapman
Ralph was a forensic officer for over 20 years, working with both the City of Pasadena and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. His deep understanding of crime scenes and investigative work brought a sharp realism to his writing. He began crafting stories as a creative outlet, blending his professional expertise with a lifelong love of science fiction and fantasy.
An avid gamer, Ralph led raids in World of Warcraft and competed in Warhammer 40K tournaments, where he won accolades including Best Tactician and Best General. His passion for strategy, storytelling, and immersive worlds shaped much of his fiction.
Ralph passed away in January 2023 due to cardiac arrest. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Tanya, their son and daughter, and his sister, Lorie. In a labor of love and remembrance, Tanya and the family are working to publish Ralph’s books and share his stories with the world. Rise of Hercules is the first in a planned series, a tribute to his creativity, intellect, and the joy he found in every imagined world.
